The Illustrative Annual YIA Exhibition

From 30.10. – 8.11.2015 this year the Illustrative Annual YIA Exhibition take place at Direktorenhaus that reflects the diversity of illustration with a vast array of artistic positions.

The premier showcase for illustrators and animators, the Illustrative Annual Exhibition features over 200 pieces of the 30 nominees of the Young Illustrator Award 2015. Open to artists worldwide, thousands of entries are considered by a jury of professionals, which include renowned illustrators, art directors and designers.

 

The original works are exhibited at the Direktorenhaus, Berlin. An Opening Award Galas for each part of the Annual Exhibition, Medals and Certificates are presented to the illustrators and art directors whose works are judged best in each category. This year’s awards for the best personal illustration will be again chosen by an illustrious selection board of established illustrators and previous winners of the Young Illustrators Award. Winners will be selected from a wide range of illustration disciplines like contemporary graphics, animation, book art, pattern design, chosen for their exceptional contribution to their field. A dinner to celebrate the winners will be held during the Festival at the Direktorenhaus in Berlin-Mitte.

 

The winners of this years Young Illustrator Award will be shown at Illustrative Biennale for Illustration and Graphics in 2016.
